Joan Miró - Women, Birds and Stars

Tuesday, September 23, 2014 - 09:00
The 20th-century Catalan surrealist Joan Miró’s works will decorate the walls and grounds of Sakıp Sabancı Museum, which is hosting its most prominent exhibition since Monet back in 2012. The wide collection of Miró’s paintings and sculptures are centered around the themes of birds, stars, and women, all of which were major influences on his art. Mediterranean culture spills from Miro’s pieces, spreading an energy that will guide art enthusiasts along the corridors of the museum and into his dreamlike, surreal landscape.
